As cooler weather approaches, it’s fun to think about preparing for the holidays. Lots of people are already shopping and looking for unique gift ideas. If you’re searching for something different, consider a handmade gift of specialty pillows, blankets, baby accessories such as bibs and blankets, or a monogrammed hand-sewn item for someone special. One of the things I’ve enjoyed most recently is creating soft, cuddly blankets for babies – complete with monogramming to make them extra special. Customized colors and sizes make them unique.

I’ve just finished some beautiful outdoor pillows for a client that truly make their outdoor patio beautiful for summer. Their nautical theme is accented with pillows of deep ocean blue covered with shades of blue, green and red patterned sailboats and hot air balloons — making them the perfect addition to the patio set.
